Jirard Khalil gives an in-depth breakdown of what happened with the open hands non profit. I’ve been waiting a year for this video and I am happy to see Jirard again. Everyone will have to decide for themselves but I accept what he has to say and look forward to supporting his content again.

I don’t really believe this. This just seems like someone lying about the situation after they were caught. He’s still making himself into a victim, rather than just showing the money was donated and moving on, leaving himself out of it.

My biggest issue is that he spends a long time explaining what was going on, but at the time when it was happening, he didn’t mention any of the stuff he brings up now. Its like he is updating the autopsy report after the fact. If he was contacting these charity groups like he says he was, why did he not provide at least his initial contact emails? When it comes to charity, I don’t see why anything would need to be proprietary or secretive, so their response could be included as well. Even including messages about the alleged infighting about who and where to donate to. That would have cleared everything up instantly. But that’s not what happened. He also doesn’t include any proof of this new explanation backstory.

To me, this just sounds like “Sorry I got caught, here is an explanation I came up with later that includes zero proof of any of it happenening so you’ll just have to trust me bro. And I finally donated the money like you all wanted, see? I was actually the Good Guy and Victim all along!”

Maybe I got it all wrong. But this does not seem genuine to me.

To be fair, that’s what a lot of the accusations against him were.

I know this guy’s track record and he needs to show a ton of receipts than just words. He needs to make some big steps in owing up to his mistakes. He’s shown time and time again that he’ll speak words and never do the thing that’s infront of his face that he needs to do. Not gonna sit and listen for 45 minutes of it. Actions speak louder.

I’ve been following him for years and I was very surprised when the news broke. He admits to fault in that he didn’t announce the struggles finding a group to donate to. I’m in Canada and we have some crazy rules to do a big donation too.

“News”. The first video from each of those guys was news. Their follow-up videos show why actual journalism is so important and convinced me to never watch their videos again, not Jirard’s, funny enough. As a non-expert, it seems like the only reason donating this much money is complicated is because they wanted eyes on exactly where it was being used.

Absolutely 100% Once they had gotten the announcement out, and the public could see that there had been no donations, it should have been handled by professionals. Jirard wanting to know where the money went was important to him and was something that he had committed to right from the start. From his video it sounded like it came down to his morals on the donation or his commitment to donate right after the annual events. It’s a no win situation once he was aware in 2023.

Right? And not only that, how many down vote without participating in the discussion or even watching the video.

I understand holding a person to standard. But to say ‘I didn’t watch, I didn’t read but I don’t like the guy.’ that’s not what online community or discussion are about.

I think you miss the point also that it’s been years that people have probably known the guy and his antics, so it’s easy for them to write him off. I think it is ignorant of you to pretend that kind of plausibility doesn’t exist.

Mind as well say “gee, why don’t everybody sit and listen and watch everything Donald Trump does? I don’t get it!”

Why the hell would people want to waste the time?

This sounds like a troll comment, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. People should and do listen to everything trump says. Because it is important to know what is being imposed or done in the world. Just like this topic, if you don’t want to participate in discussion that is fine, but you should not be saying ‘I am willingly ignorant and everyone else is the problem’
