Nothing odd at all. The right is organized the left is a bunch of lazy complaining idealist who don’t vote consistently. The right is being catered for by both the left and right because the vote consistently. And if you don’t vote politicians don’t give a rats ass about you.

    Not really.

This is just par for the course in conservative areas. I mean there are still anti abortion billboards in the less developed areas in those places even though it’s legal.

We have a very carbrained culture and there is significant overlap with both groups. This is just a bunch of adults that can’t stand someone getting an accommodation if it impinges, appears to impinge on their life in anyway, or it doesn’t directly benefit them.

Part of car addiction is being terrified of anything that appears to threaten a way of life completely dominated by cars.

People in power work naturally in concert against bike infrastructure because bike infrastructure works, and that is a threat to the solutions they propose that don’t.

It’s provinces run by people who cater to rightwing nut jobs so there’s no conspiracy to uncover. The pattern is pretty clear.

The conspiracy is that the provincial governments are conservative, therefore they want to do stupid, counterproductive things that don’t save money and are big government overreach on cities, to do their equivalent of virtue signalling.

Transportation minister? More like minister of car dependancy. Or minister of the auto and oil lobby.

They represent the people that voted for them. If you don’t vote, then you will always get what other people voted for.

If you don’t feel that anyone represents your interests, then why don’t you run? Be the person other people like yourself vote for, and represent them?

If you don’t participate, you will never change anything.

Because I am disabled and it is a physical impossibility for me. I require someone to represent me yet no politician in this country is willing to fight for me. In fact no citizen is either. My family lives well below poverty due to my disability. My kids are part of those statistics on poverty and poor health due to poverty and will likely be so in the future, as adults, due to their childhood. It is probable and unintentional but they will likely become a burden on a broken system due to zero representation in government as a child of a poverty stricken, disabled parent household. This is proven already to occur.

Why? Because not one politician or citizen sees me as worthy of dignity. I can MAID next week if I like however. Others have already and openly said they are having doctors suicide them simply because they can’t afford to live. What did they accomplish in death? Not a fucking thing because people and politicians don’t care. Just a byline for people to go …oh that’s sad, someone should do something about that. These people had a fucking doctor kill them because they were poor. No other reason. They made this knowledge public. Can you name one of them?

It’s pretty easy for someone to just assume anyone can do anything on this here old internet box. Perhaps expand the way you think to include those in situations other than yours and speak out for those who have little to no voice. Maybe even offer to represent them in government and then actually follow through.

That said I voted. For someone who is doing the exact opposite of what they said and will not respond to my letters, emails or phonecalls. They have not filled my multiple requests for a meeting since they have been voted in. They do not care to represent me yet that is exactly the job I voted for them to have. Instead they tow the party line and avoid their constituents.

Lol! As a Canadian, I call bullshit on that entire work of fiction. You just jumped the shark, friend…and outed yourself in the process. If you put half the effort into living as you did in creating that buffet of hyperbolic talking points, then you could easily win an election. You’d have to run as a Conservative, mind you…because no one else is dumb enough to buy that crap. The rest of us know better.

                Also a Canadian. Nova Scotia.

So when you can’t relate you go to attack. That’s exactly what I speak of. Fellow Canadians couldn’t give a shit. Look at my comment history before you point fingers. I haven’t said anything I haven’t said multiple times before. You know. The truth. My exact situation.

I’ve been fighting assholes like you for a decade since I had leiomyosarcoma grow off my scapula invade and collapse my spinal column taking away my legs. You’re the reason our country is in the state is in. You don’t agree. You can’t relate. So the ideas have to be false. Don’t look for the real answer just attack.

Canadians like you deserve what you get…and you’re past the fuck around stage right now. Have a great day.

Oh, I can relate. That’s why I know you’re full of shit. You having cancer isn’t about the government “not representing you”. No matter what province you are in, your treatment expenses are covered. It also isn’t about your kids getting stuck in a “broken system”…whatever the hell that means. They live in Canada. The system isn’t “broken”. If it isn’t working for you, then you probably aren’t looking in the right places.

Nothing you’ve complained about so far, has anything to do with politics. That’s why I called bullshit on it.

Dreeshen emerged from his July 30 meeting with Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek pleased that she agreed with his interest in removing problematic bike lanes.

Gondek campaigned as the progressive alternative. She has done the UCP’s bidding at every turn, including approving the billion dollar boondoggle of the Flames’ arena.
