A group of Afghan women's rights activists have launched a hunger strike in Germany to protest against the policies of the ruling Taliban that limit the rights and freedoms of Afghan women.
I’m no fan of the US military and I live here but you can keep your “whataboutisms” to yourself next time. The Taliban were doing this shit long before the US was ever there.
Under us occupation afghan women were the freest they’ve ever been. They trained Afghan soldiers, built infrastructure and educated the populace, but as soon as the west left, the afghans put down their arms and welcomed the Taliban into power.
I said this with the images in mind of those videos where Taliban found u.s. dollars and weapons that were left behind. I regret not being more explicit or clear. But I regret more shifting the discussion to the actual issue, the women apartheid.
Agreed. Pretty much the same can be said for the Taliban enablers: US Military.

Or maybe because the U.S unable to win those guerrilla war & fled the country, it enabled the Taliban to take control of the country.
They didn’t have a choice other than accepting their power.
Apparently the Afghan army was a lot smaller in real life than it was in the American paperwork.
