Brother, how is it that you can type this question into a lemmy instance, and not google?

Serous fluid, also known as serous exudate, is a thin, watery, and typically clear or pale yellow fluid that drains from wounds or body cavities. It’s a normal part of the inflammatory phase of wound healing and is composed primarily of serum from blood plasma. While usually odorless, it can sometimes have a pale yellowish hue.

We are here to talk and make friends as much as we are here to get the answer. OP had a question and asked it. Why does that bother you so much?

Maybe the name of the community should be “No Questions”, since anything can be searched for.

Because you get a variety of answers and can ask follow up questions? Asking things in forums is a great way to learn things.

Nah, that would take too much effort, and then no one would have comments to downvote when I point out that this is a searchable question, that is already known in the medical field, rather than something more nuanced, with varying answers based on individual circumstances that a web search wouldn’t do justice.

Edit, there are plenty of other search engines you can use, like go duck go, rather than google, that don’t give you ai generated slop, so my point still stands.

I don’t think people object to your pointing out that this is a well-understood phenomenon that can be answered with a web search. I think it’s the condescending tone when you pointed it out. There are friendlier ways of suggesting how to tell the difference between something that can be reliably answered with a search and topics that are more subjective and easier to be misled.

Note the community that we are in. If every researchable topic was just researched instead of posted about, this community would die off completely.

Because google does not always give correct info and ever since instituting AI you can’t trust a thing it says there are so many errors.

Because, you sorted through the results for them and posted it. Why would they do the work themselves, when they can get a human to do it for them?
