He was only a few months older than me when I’d taken him for 50s-60s. Hopefully, it’ll be an extra push to whoever else used the same “I’m too young” excuse, but his youth and the sheer speed of his illness makes it seem exaggerated enough to be mockable.
To whoever, it’s difficult as shit, that’s how addictions work, but please consider cutting down. Even if you never have cancer, the smoke damages your lungs’ elasticity, reduces or temporarily destroys immune cells and cilia (leaving one open to respiratory infections), and causes mucus-producing cells to proliferate (think asthma, COPD). It’s going to be like breathing through a roll of paper towels and in March of this year, the WHO named COPD currently the third leading cause of death worldwide.
