They kept telling themselves (and me) his good deeds will outweigh the bad ones when in reality those where cracks in the facade to show what lies underneath. They couldn‘t see the bright red flags for what they are because they thought it‘s about a balance between good and bad, not character qualities that can only lead down one road.
