Mbin version 1.8.2 has been released, see: https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin/releases/tag/v1.8.2

Aside from several bug fixes, the main take away is that we overhaul the Docker setup. From today onwards we now also recommend the new Docker setup for the users who like to use Docker instead of bare metal/VM.

Existing Docker users need to pay extra attention, since there is quite some migration involved. That being said, the new Docker setup is much more solid and hopefully future proof.

    When i first started using lemmy or even knew about the fediverse i came over from the reddit migration on another account on lemmy.world… i started using kbin and i didn’t know what a magazine and the term microbloging i was just used to upvoting and downvoting… i started with kbin.social and i stopped using everything, Came back and kbin.social is down so i used mastodon soley until i posted something and got recommed mbin… as soon as i signed up looked exactly like kbin and now i’m home…

    Will there be an app for ios it would be nice… Currently im usin the PWA!

      Yeah, it’s too bad kbin.social is down. Mbin is basically a reboot and continuation of kbin.

      https://github.com/interstellar-app/interstellar is currently the only mbin compatible app I know about. Currently for Android. Since it’s very expensive to get it rolled out on iOS. Due to Apple rules and addition costs. I do recommend. Sponsoring https://github.com/jwr1 to get this app become available for iOS.

        Question… How come when I click on expand especially on microblog nothing happens ? Usually it will say expand (50) but it Dosen’t do anything I should see collapse (50)

        Edit: I just did a test and was able to expand when I’m in the address but when I have mbin saved as a pwa in safari like going to add Home Screen it Dosen’t work ? So weird!
