I believe joining the EU would boost the economy, increase global influence, improve collaboration and provide stability & freedom. I believe that Brexit hasn't brought any tangible benefit and there is no future prospect of any, that the UK has changed its mind and that this should be recognised.
Good luck getting this past the Labour government. They are firmly rooted to remaining (excuse the pun) outside the EU. This is even before you attempt to get it past Conservative opposition or fringe party Reform nutters.
If the party in power isn’t going to champion this then it’s an instant no go.
We never should have left of course but right now I don’t think we’re ready yet to be an EU member in good standing. Not while people are listening to fuherage here, not while right-wing extremism is on the rise elsewhere in Europe.

Labour are dedicated to the democratic vote, which is arguably the “right” thing to do, but not necessarily the best thing to do.
ROFL
…let alone the rest of the EU. They’d be crazy to accept a UK petition for membership right now.
Why’s do you think it would be crazy to accept the UK back in?

Ooh! I have something for this.
