Not that it helps us terribly much right now, but I remember when people were accusing Biden of being just as bad as Trump.

I don’t remember Biden or any Democrat doing this. Crack down on protests? Sure. Sign an EO that effectively says “we get to decide what you’re allowed to say, and we get to decide where that line is”? No.

Gonna be a lot of “terrorists” in the coming years if this isn’t tossed out by a judge. Democrats don’t align with my ideals, but rather than installing the weak Democrats to the White House or Congress, people ensured we have fascists in all branches of government to fight against.

Just stupidity up and down. And I am tired, boss.

He also cracked down on campus protests. Doesn’t really refute my point. Neither Biden nor Kamala would have allowed a position like the one put out by the current spokesperson.

Disinformation did and does exist, and it’s a real problem. What he did was the incorrect way to go about addressing it, but setting up a group with the goal of trying to fix something that’s actually rotting away people’s epistemic foundations is a far cry from “we get to unilaterally decide when and where you’ve crossed some nebulous line of our choosing.”

I would have rather been fighting against the Biden admin, right now, than the Trump admin, the latter of which currently has fawning sycophants controlling every branch of government.

In terms of the here and now I largely agree with you. I’m just the kill joy reminding the audience that every president has been complicit in ratcheting the executive power of the office for over a century. Unless that power is curtailed tyranny is inevitable.
