Eddie is a pat soc, stay in your lane and let us Americans tell you who the dipshits are then if you don’t want to get into “leftist infighting”, if you’re not going to investigate something then you shouldnt comment on it, or are you a liberal or something?

Here’s a choice quote from eddie himself so you can see what I mean

American’s should also take pride in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. The revolutionary war was a fight against colonialism, which helped America move beyond the feudal mode of production into capitalism. When celebrating this event on the 4th of July, many leftists will mock those who celebrate the freedom which this day stands for. It is easy to understand the sentiment, given that in modern day the US war machine has become the oppressor of many other nations. However, the Revolutionary War should be celebrated, and on the 4th of July we should be encouraging the country to hold up to the lofty ideals which it was founded on. We should bring people together around the common cause of making our country truly great, rather than endlessly shaming and alienating those who choose to celebrate the day our country gained freedom from the British.

This is some of the worst drivel I’ve ever seen written in my life. This isnt their only bad patsoc article, this is just the one that stuck in my head because of how fucking gross it is to call the establishment of the most successful genocidal settler-colonial state in the world as a “fight against colonialism”

Lol the revolutionary war was about economic independence for the land owning minority within the colonies. They forced the lower class to fight the war for them and then charged them for the service. They ended up in debters prison after the war. That’s what the Shays’ Rebellion was all about! How on earth could anyone interpret it any other way, especially when you consider the ultimate result of that war, which was the total and completely colonization from east to west and an ethnic genocide of indigenous peoples.

The ruling class was not interested in democracy for the masses, it was not anti colonial or anti imperial, it only sought democracy for a narrow band of people, specifically the land owning anglos and continued their colonial agenda to expand their wealth and power:

All communities divide themselves into the few and the many. The first are rich and well born; the other, the mass of the people. The voice of the people has been said to be the voice of God; and however generally this maxim has been quoted and believed, it is not true in fact. The people are turbulent and changing; they seldom judge or determine right. Give therefore to the first class a distinct, permanent share in the government. They will check the unsteadiness of the second; and as they cannot receive any advantage by change, they will therefore maintain good government.

      ~ Alexander Hamilton
