This includes some porn subreddits as well as subreddits like /r/Drugs. Apparently due to being “unmoderated”, but some were not. What are your thoughts?

Edit: apparently also subreddits like /r/transgender_surgeries are banned too. Definitely feels politically motivated. Edit 2: seems like at least some (?) bans are being undone, like the above mentioned ones.

Why does she comply so willingly?

Not to pick on her, I get it, sort of, but maybe just “forget” to remove the slides?

Small acts of resistance pile up & those of us with even a crumb of privilege must speak & act now to protect those who don’t even have that.

Sorry that this is a dumb question but for any Americans out there: how is it that the federal government can control what state governments or private companies are doing in regards to even TALKING about diversity? Like, is it fully illegal to talk about it? Cause that seems way more far reaching than just removing the policies directly related to dei hiring.

And also, if it’s a private company why does the government even get a say in their specific policies?

      It’s a valid question.

She pushed back to her managers and was told they’re following up with the legal department. So hopefully it gets fixed higher up.

Maybe you’re right that she should use this as an opportunity to resist, but that resistance wouldn’t make it outside of these little meetings.

It’s just something to keep in mind.
