When you use a fat person as a character in a meme you are making fun of not just fat men but often men with gynecomastia because it often specifically draws boobs. Those memes are mostly from reddit but sometimes make there way here. I would rather not have this reddit crap here. If you say how can we use characters if we are not allowed to have those traits? You always specifically use characteristics you think are “funny” to make him look bad.

Don’t say it’s to make him appear fat that they have boobs. It’s evidently saying “hahahah dude got boobies”.

Can we make an effort not to use those stereotypes? I have gynecomastia although I am a trans woman, I can easily say men with gynecomastia will be extremely hurt by this shit. Do better? I have to say this is a reddit thing, but that toxic crap sometimes appears here.

Also due to my schizophrenia ( which has been diagnosed) I have an extremely hard time with hygiene. When you make fun of “Gamers” for being a smelly neck beard too addicted to video games to showers. (notice the unkempt beard and the glasses on those memes just to add some spicy insults) You make fun of me. All schizo have a serious hard time with hygiene(including shaving). We often wear the same clothing for days. When you make fun of gamers for this you make fun of us…Don’t say it’s not the same thing because they just need a kick in the butt. When I went to the psychiatrist one time he used the exact same excuse on me for these symptoms. Do better…There is an actual chance these ”Gamers” are mentally ill…I’ve been there comrades don’t’ make fun of my past?.. If you use characters for a meme, don’t specifically use characteristics you think will make the person look bad to push your viewpoint.

About those glasses on these “neck beard right wing Gamer” memes. My impaired vision not a joke? Do you want me to joke about the fact you’re gay? Don’t use my fking impaired vision as a fking joke. There is a reason why people spend thousands of money for lasik surgery. Because wearing glasses fking SUCKS??? It’s also low key saying “hahahh beta male simps men all wear glasses”…No actually it’s literally saying that.

Also I have bizarre ideas OK? It’s a severe symptom of Schizotypal(It’s different from paranoid schizophrenia). And if you say I ask for too much and should just go away from here then why claim this is a “safe space for all comrades”. That’s not true at all…

Furthermore, if I offend you with my ideas then stop talking to me? Ignore me? Don’t argue with me? Just downvote, tell me I’m wrong and move on?

If you say that this is too sensitive and your argument is “should we accept everyone who asks for respect” Obviously, the answer is yes…dude

The reason why schizos are much likely to experience violence? Because we are “strange” and not fully aware of our actions and people end up beating the shit out of us…

You guys are often “toxic nerds”. Which is why women(all varieties of them!!!) don’t hang out here for too long.

I will end by saying you guys should meditate on the “safe space for all comrade” idea…

Don’t push this nasty Gamer neck beard stereotype…wtf is wrong with you people. I honestly believe some of you are “evil”. Especially from trying to dissuade people from becoming vegans recently.

If you expect me to respect men, gays , straight, autistic, etc… respect my schizophrenia and other characteristics that I don’t choose?

I hope it is, because if this much stuff really bothers them that even Lemmygrad is too much to handle then they’re going to be hard pressed to go anywhere on the internet without being severely distressed, Jesus.

Then trust that these sorts of things are not meant to target and ridicule you, but rather the reactionary liberals that frequently embody the archetype.

Is it OK to mock the femininity of a gay right winger? He could act straight with a “kick in the butt”

It is not OK to mock him for being feminine or gay. That’s their right. However, you can mock him for being a right winger, if he has made an informed decision to become one. Especially if they are so right wing they become nazis.

They seem to be defending someone saying “it’s ok to insult people for looking a certain way because of their ideology” by saying “it’s not ok to insult someone for how they look, just insult their political views.” They contradict, but that’s what it looks like responding to you rather than the other person.

My comment said it is NOT OK to mock:

                • Femininity
                • Homosexuality

It also said it is OK to mock:

                • Right-wingers.

I don’t see what you mean by mental illness? Are you saying one can only be right-wing if one is mentally ill?

No, what they’re saying is that people are mocking right wingers by pretending they all have the same physical characteristics even though non-right wingers can easily have the same stereotyped characteristics through no fault of their own.

What about non political communities? Like memes? Or racing games? I find political communities are very direct in their communication, and the topics are pretty divisive, as such is the nature of political discourse. But sometimes it’s ok to go offline, or to enjoy hobbies. Maybe chess?

I say this because if you are the kind of person that wants to be offended, there is no easier place to do that then a political community. And too much of a good thing can also be bad, so taking a break is pretty ok.

So, I don’t think it’s ok to be fat phobic. Someone’s personal appearance should not be shamed, just for the heck of it. However, the topic of fat phobia will appear with greater frequency (whether for or against) in political communities. That’s what I’m pointing at.

And to choose a political community as one’s safe space means that sometimes the conversation will come up, and some people who disagree will show up. I find it rather “safer” to engage in non-political activities and leave all of this discourse somewhere else. As if saying “I’m ok with who I am, so instead of seeking validation online, I will do what I want to do.”.

If I somehow said fat-phobia is okay, that was not at all my intention, so I apologize for that.

The greater frequency in fat-phobic content in political spaces may be real, but problematic and should be combatted. OP should not be blamed as “hyper-sensitive” and told to avoid political spaces.

They are being attacked because they are homophobic, and hold extremely reactionary views along with the fact they are ban evading for breaking rules 2 and 3 continuously.
