Hopefully this convinces their executives to continue to fund the dGPU department. The more competitors the better.

      Seriously.

I’m thinking about getting two or three. One for a work desktop, one for my media server, and maybe one to use for transcodes and testing.

Literally all they have to do is beat nvidia by one GB of VRAM on any card and people will go nuts. Nvidia is so afraid of making another 1080ti that even their 4090 gets like 2 less frames in Fortnite at 1080p.

I’m still shopping for titans or 1080ti for my next build. Medium 1080p is fine by me for anything in the near future.

That’s finally some good news in the dGPU department. This GPU would have been terrific if it was released 1-2 years ago. I really hope they succeed and continue developing GPUs. We need so much a good competition to NVIDIA.

Amazing! Or it would have been in an alternate timeline where the RX7600 and RTX4060 were just released. Over here in the real world, Intel is more than a year late to the party with a lackluster product. NVIDIA and AMD have new cards releasing in early 2025 and, given that the B580 is within 15% of last year’s offerings in 1080p, it’s probably about to be outclassed. I really hope its existence at least forces the other two to stop with the 8GB of VRAM insanity but unless you need to upgrade right now, you shouldn’t care about this. So can we stop pretending it’s a good product?
