Another one bites the dust. I’m sure I’d enjoy it if I could have bought a copy and hosted the servers myself.
Ubisoft just launching flop after flop. I expect to see Skull and Bones shut down soon as well. They also cancelled the newest Division game this year and are scrambling to gain interest for AC Shadows.
Not looking good for them, but also good riddance.
Won’t be good riddance. Someone will buy them out.
Tencent I’ve heard …
They’re poised to buy themselves out while the share price is low.
Ubisoft are genuinely speedrunning their way towards a shutdown and a buyout
Seriously lol. They keep releasing live service games and then do this. Why should anyone trust them to invest time/money into their games if they barely last a year or two?
The multiplayer FPS genre has been oversaturated for almost a decade now so I’m not surprised that this one is going away.
For as oversaturated as people feel it is, the industry sure hasn’t made one of them that I like or want to play in a long time.
Interesting. Just goes to show these big game companies that you can’t churn out a replica of Fortnite or COD and slap the exact same monetization system on there and hope that the money prints. For that matter, you can’t just slap monetization on any old game and hope the money prints either.
First time hearing of it, good riddance
Stop trying to make live service happen Ubi
Let it die
rest in piss
