Robot adoption in factories around the world continues at high speed: The new global average robot density reaches a record 162 units per 10,000 employees in 2023 - more than double the number measured only seven years ago (74 units). This is according to the World Robotics 2024 report, presented by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR).
Yeah, I’m optimistic that we’ll get there eventually. But the sooner we play our cards right as a civilization, the sooner we’ll be able to enjoy the benefits.
This could be good in the long term. To best benefit from this technology, we will likely need to implement some form of universal income.

True. It’s what keeps me optimistic. If we can get through the decay of the old world intact, there’s a world of post-scarcity plenty ahead.
