I don’t see a cleared path behind the cat. Looks to me like it was tossed into the snow to take a picture.
In snow that deep, a cat will likely choose to move by jumping rather than trying to plow through it.
Hopefully the thrower found some feces in their shoes the next morning.
It’s hard to see snow against snow, but I think I see the path behind it and heading to the left.
In any case, my respect to the badass cat.
