When I was younger, maybe 10ish, my grandma passed away from cancer. Me and my mom spent the night at her old house to spend time with family afterwards. One night I went downstairs to grab some water. The stairs have a platform landing and at the bottom of the last step is the front door. As I’m standing on the landing, I hear the screen door creaking. I was young and automatically suspicious of who could be trying to get in the middle of the night, knowing everyone who belonged there was already home. I froze in fear just watching as not only the screen door opens but the front door as well. My grandma, bald from chemotherapy, floats into the house. She had on a white dress and her face wasn’t easy to make out, but I could tell it was her. I was scared though, so I immediately start dreaming and running up the stairs as fast as I could. My family told me I was young and had an active imagination. After some time had passed though, everybody had a story of her presence in the house. My grandpa heard her use the bathroom. The only reason he knew it was her is because she would read while she was on the toilet. He heard a book close, the toilet flush, and the sink turn on and off. But he was home alone. My uncle would hear her cook food in the kitchen. My mom, however, said that even though she loved her dearly, to please not visit, as her heart couldn’t take it. So she never experienced anything. I’ve always believed in this so deeply because I still see it in my mind like it happened yesterday. But others truly believe I’m making this whole thing up. Do you guys believe in ghosts?
