I just read a post on AITA about a woman whose sister intentionally spilled red wine on her wedding dress immediately before the wedding ceremony (comments locked on the post).

For anyone who suffers a red wine incident, soda water (club soda if you’re in the US) is a life saver. Blot away as much wine as possible, then pour the soda water across the stain and let it fizz and soak for at least 10 minutes.

And if you’re wearing a white wedding dress, perhaps keep dark liquids away while you’re getting ready.
