Flight crew honored for saving the life of an Apalachee High shooting victim

The trio landed in a helicopter at Apalachee High School and immediately went to work saving the life of a student who had been shot multiple times.

Air Evac Lifeteam No. 117 received Piedmont Eastsides First Friday Heroes Award for their role in the Sept. 4 shooting at Apalachee High School. The awards went to pilot Matthew Dine (right), flight nurse Lindsay Chapman and flight nurse and paramedic John “Trey” Phillips.
