What an invading terrorist nation does is use casualties as chaff.

So you think they thought it would be like a lizard dropping it’s tail? The drone would get distracted?
I assume they believe it makes them go faster? I have seen videos where they drop bodies out of a truck, apparently in an attempt to get lighter and therefore faster. It’s not particularly smart, but other people have just offed themselves after seeing a drone nearby. So there is a spectrum of reactions.
It’s like in the movies where a sailing ship’s crew throws stuff overboard to lighten the load.
Or push someone off the raft in the hope the shark goes for that target.
