This god damn game 😂
I never finished this one, and it is on the list.I remember that it had lots of really obtuse collectibles, which are sometimes alluded to, and other times they are not.
Like in the first stage, if you use the crashed rocket’s engines to incinerate a sheep corpse, you get a special thing. I only knew about that because it was in a magazine.
Definitely have mixed feelings about going back to that one when I get a chance 😂

I never played this one.
I love hidden stuff like that. But I can see how it might become infuriating when trying to 100% it. 😂
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games Is the percentage totally independent of the X/5 scores above it? It looks like they add up to the score but 3+3+5+4=15 and 15x5=75

I have no idea.
Some do this while others don’t.
I’m not a fan of doing so as I’m of the belief that a game is more than the sum of its parts so making it a simply calculation just feels wrong to me.@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games I completely agree. Some of the best games of all time would lose a lot of points in a category or two but when viewed as a whole deserve a perfect score while some mediocre games are technically good in a lot of categories.
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games I also really think game devs that think of their game as a sum of its parts make much worse games than those who have a vision of the project as a whole.

My mind immediately went to modern day Ubisoft. 👀@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games It seems like there is some sort of ‘gameplay formula’ that they use, doesn’t it? I know a lot of the artists are incredible there though.
@Jeltron@pocketpixels.club
It’s all very formulaic.
But I do get the impression that it’s all due to upper management making development more like factory work over there.
Bullet points that must be followed at all cost to be able to put them into a PR release.
There’s a ton of talent there, as well as a lot of talent that has left over the past couple of years.They deserve so much better.
My sister and I were OBSESSED with this game when we were kids. Need to go back and replay it.
