Dr. Ian Cutress’ take on the Gamers Nexus video and the drama surrounding LMG. Seems like a level-headed response of the situation, and a bit of a rebuke on Gamers Nexus’ flaws.

Significant parts of that video (most?) are really “Let’s analyze the body language” levels of nonsense but… that is the internet so fair play.

And I do respect the premise largely being “I am nitpicking because there isn’t much bad about it” but…

This is pretty much exactly what is wrong with the world and leads to so much “both sides” nonsense. GN’s video was not perfect in the slightest. GN are investigators but aren’t practiced journalists (and most of the people criticizing them aren’t either)

But… how is the outcome of “Well, even if you don’t care about correctness in your reporting and reviewing, LMG actively dicked over this company repeatedly, stole a prototype from them, and sold it… and then were caught trying to gaslight the audience about their response” “Well… We need to analyze GN’s video too”? And that ignores the Madison stuff and all the other tech youtubers coming out of the woodwork to either talk about their negative interactions with LMG or remind them that they never really stopped talking about those.

Obviously inflammatory, but it would be like if your kid ran home crying and talking about how “Billy hit me hard”. And your first response is “Son. That is improper grammar. What you really mean to say is that Billy hit you very hard. Also, ‘hit’ is not a great word for this and you probably want to go with ‘struck’ instead” (also, I went to public school so that is probably still grammatically incorrect).

But, because we live in a world where people need to ride the content waves, we get this.

To be honest, I’m pretty sure you just read a summary of this video and didn’t watch it. Especially if you think Ian went easy on LTT over the Madison events.
