I have a three-screen setup at home and I’m realizing that all things considered they give off quite a bit of heat. I’ve got three displays: two 23" screens and a 27" in the middle. The air around my desk is palpably warmer and I’m sure that in the summertime it doesn’t do any favors for the room heating up, not to mention the longevity of the displays. I understand that monitors giving off heat is normal. So my questions:
- Do certain display types give off less heat than others?
- Will consolidating down to larger screen(s) (two 27"+, or maybe even one really large curved display) reduce the net heat output or is heat emission going to correlate with the size of the panel?
