Hi all!

I’m thinking about planning a trip to avoid the coldest and most boring months in Tennessee and working through ideas of where we should go. Wanted to query the r/travel group to get some ideas and suggestions!

It would be my wife, our 1 year old baby, German Shepherd, and I. We spent a month (pre baby but with dog), traveling the west coast of Costa Rica a few years ago and loved it. We will probably avoid Europe for this trip due to the longer flights and we will be spending 2 weeks in October in Portugal. Here are a couple of options that we are considering:

Costa Rica - probably rent a car for the duration and stay somewhere like Samara, however, it would be nice to try somewhere new

Mexico City - have been there before and loved it! However, a little bit concerned about having a large, high energy dog without much room to run

San Miguel de Allende?

Bocas Del Toro?

I know there are tons of options and I didn’t list a a lot about what we are interested in but…

Where would you want to spend 6-8 weeks in January with your family??
