I live in a place with a fairly low altitude but would love to travel to more places. Most of these places have extremely higher altitudes and I just found out about altitude sickness and that it can be potentially fatal. Btw, I’ve been to places such as Denver and have felt fine. Is this something only climbers get or also travelers through plane? How can I prevent this from happening/is this something I should really worry about?
