Hi! I’m Dutch and at pukkelpop with some friends. We love it!! But we notice that the crowds don’t really dance. People sometimes jump, clap or raise their hands, but dancing isn’t really a part of the festival experience. Where we’re from we dance when the music is good and that is a big part of going festivals. Here everyone rushes to a tent when there is a good song, but then they all just stand there… When we dance, people are looking at us like we are just some druggies, which is not the case. I can i see that people are really enjoying the music so i know that’s not it… I don’t want to ask anyone here because i don’t want to be rude like us dutchies often are. Is it a cultural thing? And how do the belgians blow off steam if it is not through dancing?
