Is it just me, or are these comics quickly becoming less “insightfully pointing out the absurdity of our everyday lives” and more “lazily throwing a thesaurus at random conversations”?
Either you feel like that because the show sucks and you’re projecting on the comic or you don’t have kids.
This one’s great and I really loved it. Threes no absurd in our but the true fact that everybody puts their kids at their parents asking them to be good and the grandparents spoil them
Yeah i agree, this one feels especially bad in that regard. Also, the conversation in the two last frames is completely detached from the previous two, nothing relates to what is said in them.
What do you mean with the last two frames, is the continuation they arrive at the grandparents and they allow them to have anything, in this case a bucket of icecream.
The topic of the first part two frames is the behavior of the kids and the promise to behave well. the second part is an entirely topic of grandparents spoiling their grandkids, and in no way relates to the story told in the first two frames (topic wise)
The topic of behaviour of the children established in the first two frames is completely ignored and substituted with something completely unrelated to that topic in the last two frames, they dont even need the first two frames… JFC guys, its not that convoluted.

These are all older, so you’re not seeing them in order. I think he has always had a mix.

The first two are on the way to the grandparents, the second two are at the grandparents, how are they “in no way related”?

Yeah, cause that’s children for you. You are complaining that children are acting like children. It’s not that convoluted.
