as the title says, Ive been playing some iracing, and i suprisingly won couple of mx5 races in the rookies, and now in D, i managed to get like top4, then top2 today, but the thing is I feel bad about it, because it wasn’t, hmm, it’s like i wasnt fighting for it.
i dont know these tracks, i just join a game, and then learn track during the qualify, i drive safely I’d say
today was just a “typical” case for me, so I started p5, and on T1 our first dude slided, then he took someone with him, and i managed to get p4, then after like 10 laps i was top3 and i dont even know why, probably the guy in front crashed. And then somehow I ended P2.
On lap 19th (out of 20), I saw a guy behind me close and I failed T1 and because I had 0 incidents I wanted him to just overtake me so I can end up clean race (well instead he prefered to ram into me but that’s not the point)
and same thing is in assetto corsa comp, when I race in public lobbies. I am not the fastest driver, my laps are slow compared to other players, and I never win any duel, I feel like I can’t even overatake, but i still manage to get in top25%.
This is my race from iRacing, my fastest lap was slower than all other drivers but yet somehow my average time was better
Im not sure if I find it enjoyable. I mean it’s cool to get TOP3 in a race, but it feels sometimes like a time trial because I have laps where I see no other drivers, because either I can not catch with the top, or the slower are way behind me. and the question is… what would you do if you were me?
I think i need to learn how to overtake, sooner or later, but on iRacing I will eventually end up with a ban, because I can not really do it clean. And on ACC people are not really playing that clean too, so im not sure if this is the best way to learn it;
advice please? share your experiences? cheers!
