Hello! So, I just got the latest version of pihole up and running. I realized today that I was several versions behind and that a lot had been added since I last updated.
I want to get local DNS working since I have a home server set up. I set up a DNS route in the UI and tried to test it in firefox on my desktop, and nothing happened.
So, I opened my terminal on my desktop and typed nslookup pi.hole
as it seems that’s one the the pihole defaults to having. I found that it DOES resolve the correct ip address for the pihole.
So, now I’m confused. The pi.hole address is routing to the correct IP, but when I try to open it in firefox the connection gets refused, and the refusal tells me absolutely nothing about what’s going on.
Anyone seen this before?
