Edit: Clearly the model doesnt matter. My mistake. Anyway…
So far its been running at about 38 fps for me with all settings on high. If 60 fps isnt that big of a deal to you like it isnt for me, I highly recommend it, its very pretty. I’m going to test how it runs with the new water and probably play it on ultra, just to see, depending on how things go on high.
There was some slight slow down during my playtime last night, but it was negligable. Otherwise, it still ran surprisingly well. I specified 500gb because i was under the impression each tier had different performance outputs and didnt want to speak for the other models, so my bad.
It’s crazy how this company turned a disaster into a success. They asked for patience to deliver on promises, provided transparency, then actually delivered.
So, so many companies should be taking notes.
Yeah, and in a weird way it makes me feel safer about buying future games from them. I know that no matter what state their future games launch in, that they’ll keep working on them until they’re good. If NMS had come out in better shape, I wouldn’t have that confidence that they’ll stand behind a failure until it’s fixed.
What does the 500 Gb model have to do with anything?
I think that OP is providing all details they think might be relevant, so whether they a little confused or not they got the spirit and I appreciate it.
I was under the impression each model performed differently, that’s why I specified the model. It clearly doesn’t, so eh. Sorry. Didnt think it was that upsetting
You’re doing great lol. Back in my helpdesk days I loved talking to people who overshared to be helpful.
I guess OP believes that the drive size has a link with the Deck’s performance? 🤔
I mean, the 64 Gb emmc does have lower performance on load times which could pose problems on certain games beyond just lengthening loading times, but NMS isn’t one of these games.
Nothing? I just think maybe it performs better with more space? Who cares tbh
That’s not really how it works. It’ll load quicker than on the 64 GB eMMC model, but that’s due to different technologies and nothing to do with storage space.
No, not really. Of course if you are using a disk that’s full you’re going to have issues but as long as you have 16Gb free the performance will largely be the same for gaming.
I believe OP is either a child, or perhaps trolling.
Read that username and tell me that isn’t an Xbox live gamertag from 2008.
Oh nice. Excuse me if I made a mistake in thinking each model performed differently. It clearly doesn’t matter, I made an honest mistake. Apparantly it’s a big deal here so by all means keep talking shit.
Thanks for this! I was definitely curious about how it would run.
And thank you for not mocking my mistake about mentioning the model!
My problem is that it stopped recognizing my Xbox elite controller. I’m attempting a reinstall to see if that helps.
I have a 2 TB Steam Deck running Bazzite OS. How does this impact me and my family?
Your family needs to replace that 2tb with 500gb and then you’ll be all set!
Children render frames incredibly slowly, and usually in crayon. I can’t imagine between that and lack of necessary math skills you wouldn’t get better performance by replacing the family with additional steamdecks of any storage capacity.
It impacts you financially and the time lost in setting up bazzite. Your family misses you.
Isn’t bazzite like really straightforward to set up? I only did it on a thinkpad, not a deck though.
