“You can’t intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.”
Who have I been harassing? What the hell mods?
your life will get much easier when you stop huffing your own farts so hard
This guy huffs.
word
Several things to remember.
- Each instance has it’s own moderation rules.
- Each community on that instance has potentially extra moderation rules.
- There is no “central” admin who “polices” this.
- People make mistakes.
- People are people.
- Don’t agree, start your own instance.
I’m just waiting to hear from the mod who deleted it.
So you want to see the manager?
Exactly
Does this really deserve a post instead of a DM?
Who am I supposed to DM? I don’t know which mod deleted it.
As in you’re trying to intentionally annoy them?
What was the post
Your question was deemed too stupid for No Stupid Questions
That post could be perceived as “I went to no stupid questions and then asserted that all questions are too stupid for me” so you’re sort of running against the ethos of the forum, you can definitely ask that question, it just has to be in a more general question area where your post isn’t openly running against the idea of the forum you’re posting in.
You won’t
hear from the mod
They rather hide in some closet and remain silent. It is one of the bad habits they brought with them from over there, you know. It’s the same people, too.
I upvoted you before you get dv’ed into the abyss!
Dogpiling was imported, too!
Just judging from your deleted post title it should be quite obvious. Do you need to an explaination of the what the words “to annoy” or “to mock” mean?
Apparently so
Your post is the online equivalent of walking into a room and saying:
“Hey morons! Are any of you smart enough to have a conversation that will make me feel superior to the rest of you bumblefucks? There were a few people at the last place I visited that also enjoyed that kind of conversation, but I doubt any of you could handle it.”
Ha ha ha I didn’t want to agree but yea it did come off this way lol
In answer to the post that was removed, finding places to discuss ideas is not something that you are alone in. I find myself on that same quest on a regular basis and find answers seriously lacking.
I love encouraging and providing supportive responses to posts that come my way, but rarely do I discover places to share and test ideas.
Having been online for a long time, I think some of it relates to difficulty in expressing ideas in text succinctly and as a result conversation often degenerates into misunderstanding and (for want of a better expression) name calling.
I don’t curate my feed or subscribe to communities, other than to filter hate speech and its distributors.
Feel free to ping me, and if I have something to contribute, I will. Public conversation only.
