First of, I am using an Anycubic I3 Mega S that is pretty much basic/unupgraded. It has a titan extruder, Bowden set up and brass 0.4 nozzle.

I bought a bunch of matte pla by a company called Melovy. Never heard of them, but at 10 bucks cdn a roll, I took a chance. The chance was bad though… It is so, utterly soft that the extruder will bite into it and at the smallest resistance, strip it. I spent an hour trying to find a good resistance for the drive gear and always came up with nothing. Just more grinding. I even bumped up the temp to 235 to see if I could just liquify it into working and it still grinds and then won’t grip.

Not only that, but it seems to be a master at clogging my nozzle. I’ve printed one bad benchy somehow, but after that, nothing would work and regular play just wont go through.

Has anyone heard of Melovy or worked with it? I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a paperweight…
