Hi r/ChatGPT,

When ChatGPT first launched, I was inspired by all of the cool works you all have produced with ChatGPT. So much so that I finally published my first research paper using ChatGPT.

Inspired by the Stanford SIMs paper, I have used ChatGPT to simulate an epidemic like COVID-19! Using ChatGPT to personify individuals and asking those individuals if they want to isolate or go out each day, you get some similar results to what we saw over the course of the epidemic.

The image below shows how the model we created was made:

Below, you can see multiple waves of the epidemic emerge in our simulation:

In the figure below, mobility refers to the amount of simulated people that interacted with other simulated people. When mobility equals one, it means all those agents went out about their day and none decided to stay at home to quarantine or isolate. These are four separate simulations: the daily new cases is seen above their corresponding mobility graph.

Lastly, this image shows you risk-averseness of different simulated people depending on how many people in their community were infected the day before.

I am grateful for you guys inspiring me and I hope this makes a good contribution to the community. If you are interested in the paper, here is the link to it.
