Almost every random person that adds me on steam is sending me phishing links to scam my CSGO items. I’m guessing there are third party sites that let them see people’s steam inventory so they know who to target? I know the obvious answer is to set my inventory to friends or private but I use SteamTradeMatcher to trade cards so setting my inventory to friend/private would prevent others from trading with me.
How about giving us more granular control and allowing us to set each inventory tab to public/friends/private? Since most of these scammers are after CSGO/TF2/DOTA2 items these tabs should be set to private by default. Wouldn’t that cut down on all the scammers randomly inviting people?
Also, steam market should not list users’ names when they are selling or buying CSGO items because I’m sure scammers are monitoring that too.
