Astra Linux, the Russian OS derived from Linux, obviously contains many GPL components, which must be updated or modified by the developers.
There is now a reasonably recent law and enforcement in Russia’s banning contribution to FOSS.
How is the license vs ban reconciled? Or do they not give a f**k about the legality and steal it for their use?
Is there anything that can be done, such as IP blocks or sanctions, to enforce GPL? It seems wrong that they can do this while we diligently support these Open Source projects with our updates.
