I’ve recently upgraded to an Intel 12900k and RX 7900 XT and games are running horribly, I’ve tried using launch options like DRI_PRIME=1, switching to Wayland, different window managers, etc, wish I could solve it myself but I truly am stumped.

I think it might be something to do with running my primary display on dGPU and secondary display on iGPU, but I’m not sure? Even the desktop is noticeably laggy, especially on the display running on my 7900 XT.

I’m running Arch Linux with Zen kernel 6.4.8, latest Intel and AMD open-source drivers, and I usually just run games under Valve’s Proton Experimental build. Ideally would like to keep the split output so I can experiment with KVM.

If there is no fix I hope this is at least a warning to other users.
