Haha, this is cool. I might as well do something like this.

I’m not pretending breaking changes don’t cause real pain (that’s what the issue is about). But I keep coming back to a boundary question: if you’re not paying for it, do you actually get to demand anything? (Obviously yes, but we still need some boundaries)
And if the issue makes you lose face, it’s clear you’ve been dealing with it for quite some time and should’ve learned to lock your dependencies and test after updates. Unacceptable.

When it comes to Playstation, you can either buy from PS Store or buy a disk somewhere else where it can be cheaper. Without physical media you only have one store, a full monopoly. I think that’s the main issue.

That’s the joke.
On one hand it’s nostalgia, on another - over-fixation on a certain type of games that are designed to be addictive and drain your wallet. But there are many other games to play that are nothing like that.

Claude is in love with cli tools, it uses them for virtually everything these days in these long chains connected with && and |. This is probably pushing more and more people to let it run in the auto mode.
What if our universe is just a series of screenshots, a GIF.
It’s not a solution to a problem, it’s a mitigation option. There is a lot of evidence that it works. Even OP mentioned that it’s effective for them.

attempt to download npm-based payloads during installation
Why npm and not python? It’s installed on every arch system and wouldn’t bring unnecessary attention 🤷

I didn’t blame people for eating meat. I blamed them for inaction. Because instead of taking an action that brings some positive results, you opt to do absolutely nothing. Your strategy is more than useless - it’s delusional.

Sounds like an excuse to do nothing. “Why should I change how I live my life? I’d rather whine on the internet that something else should be done by someone else”.
It’s like in an office when a person whose birthday it is today must bring a cake or something like that :D HB
You don’t need your own email server to degoogle your life.

They didn’t use the The Schutzstaffel Nazi symbol in the German mailers because they thought it would violate hate speech laws.
That doesn’t contradict what I wrote, though. I can see how some manager who didn’t care enough or didn’t understand the implications would accept this half‑assed measure somebody suggested on slack.
I mean, they should be criticized and shamed for what’s happened, but I see no evidence of malicious intent.

After nearly two decades working in IT companies, I can see how someone could discover this issue and notify someone else, but it was never properly escalated and addressed due to ineffective internal organization. I don’t mean to defend them, but I don’t see any reasonable explanation for why they would have done this intentionally.
From what I read across this thread, you don’t seem to have any real incentive to switch to linux. But you can always install it and see how it goes. You can later go back to windows if you want.
I also explained my viewpoint and expected to hear what they think, i.e. tried to have a normal conversation. But we’re on the internet, so yeah…
Too dumb to be an agent. Unless this agent is running on a potato.
