Not sure about the AUR, but the site goes down all the time and the creator has been MIA for months in the past. It’s still on flathub and you can download publicly maintained keydbs, so even if the creator and website vanished permanently it’ll keep working. If it were to stop working at some point you could probably cobble together a replacement with a few other tools: aaru to dump the disc, something to decrypt the aacs files, and mkvtoolnix to remux.
The same goes for anywhere an establishment dem beat the more left candidate in the primary. Maga republicans cannot be allowed to win or hold seats, and that means supporting whoever wins the primary against them.

Probably the same as on a Linux desktop now, the browser sites work fine but you won’t get 4k or HDR.
I usually check the length of each episode with the disc open in VLC and find the title with a matching length in MakeMKV, so I can set the names before extracting. Jellyfin supports naming episode files ‘S01E01 Episode Name’ which makes it easy to track what the file really is in case the db ordering turns out to be different. For nonserialized shows where order mismatches are likely I’ll check with TVDB as I’m going through the episodes on the disc.
I’m a fan of inclusive min, exclusive max for rng. It behaves consistently with decimal numbers in a readable way, for example int(0,100) can return 100 different integers. x<0 has a 0% chance of happening, x<50 is 50%, x<100 is 100%. If you swap with dec(0,100) you could now get 99.999 but x<50 is still exactly 50%
I do agree with amio on consistency and making sure each method added is worth the abstraction.
If this does mean WINEDLLOVERRIDES won’t be needed I’ll be very happy, it’s been very fiddly trying to get optiscaler working.
I’m sure they are, but but I think their effort is targeted at standalone headsets and won’t translate much to wired headsets.
Wireless headsets do have fewer issues on Linux, from what I’ve read. A lot of the stuff I’m missing like passthrough and boundaries are probably handled by the headset instead of the pc.
In my experience steamvr works but is unstable and has really bad performance compared to windows. (Constant stuttering even in lighter games like pistol whip) Motion smoothing doesn’t work and it feels like there’s some input delay which is not acceptable for vr.
I’ve switched over to monado via envision, which loses the steamvr overlay and is very unpolished. (no camera passthrough and no boundary display, though both seem in development) Games play correctly with reasonable performance, which is what matters.
I wouldn’t recommend linux vr in general right now, if a friend wanted to try my headset I’d probably boot my windows partition. (Original htc vive with a 9070xt, so no excuse for steamvr’s linux performance)
Having a great time with the Banjo-Kazooie recomp. Cleared everything up to Click Clock Wood so far.
Some of that variance might come from which ones are makemkv compatible.
It sounds like smart tests are still there, they just use a different scheduling model.
EDIT: looks like you are right, the scheduling and results interfaces are being removed. The migration is for existing tests only. It will still generate alerts for failed smart tests
I wonder if this is the start of another effort to defuse a term by throwing it at everything until the definition gets dulled down to ‘something I don’t like’.
IMO it’s the opposite, what exists now is less than a server browser. I’d call it a custom games browser instead. Whichever one you pick will be on the official servers.
I agree it isn’t how the industry is now, but it isn’t going to improve if everyone just accepts it.

4K77 is based on a theatrical print, official releases are almost always based on the actual camera negative. Theatrical prints are generally a few copies removed from the negative, and were optimized for making lots of copies quickly rather than maximum quality or long-term preservation. The negative would have more detail and color than even a pristine print, and will better maintain it if taken care of.
I don’t know if that’s a definite, vs not being able to stream from a steam machine specifically. You can already stream from linux pcs to other headsets, so I think the limitation is gamemode right now.
