Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Can I become a writer when this is the quality of my writing? Please be honest.
3·2 months agoGet on Facebook and find the authors supporting authors group. Post it there and see the feedback. Make sure you make it very apparent you did not use Ai.
On the other hand, put this in ChatGPT or something and ask it for its “opinion”

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What wishes you made were granted in a "monkey's paw curls" way but in a positive direction?
141·2 months agoI wished that I could have every single video game ever made
With emulation it is possible to do that.
But you fall out of the video game hobby and you don’t find enjoyment out of playing.
How much is too much? My wife and I smoke a joint at night 7 days a week for the past year. Is that too much?
No I have never heard him talk. He just puts questions in chat and other attendees answer them.
Our 1:1 is via chat.
Yes I’m fully remote. Never met anybody face to face

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What hobby or hobbies have you fallen out of lately?
1·2 months agoHave you tried multi color prints? Those are fun especially when you think of all the different filament that’s out there.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What hobby or hobbies have you fallen out of lately?
61·2 months agoVideo games, 3D printing, and movies/television.
Modern video games are nothing more than a linear hand holding experience with hours of pre-rendered cut scenes. If I am interested in a game, I watch a streamer play it long enough for me to be bored then I read the plot on Wikipedia.
I used to have multiple 3d printers going. But after one broke down, I didn’t have the motivation to fix it.
Movies and television shows are the same slop with tired tropes. I watched Con Air with my son the other day and he was amazed with the difference between the acting and presentation in the 1990s compared to today.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What’s the easiest way to get certified to practice law in the U.S.?
19·2 months agoBecome an LLC.
LLC’s have more rights than citizens.
You start an LLC, name it something lawyer sounding like the last names of your friends but never call it a law firm. Call it civil representation.
Then when you get a customer not a client you can send letters on their behalf.
Most people freak out when they get an official looking letter with a “law name” on it. I’m not talking about the minority of people on here, but the majority of the population.
As long as you disclose your LLC does not practice law and you are simply “representing them” in a very general and broad sense you will be good.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What ever happened to Pizza Hut's Book It program? Where you read a book get a star and if you get five stars you get a free personal pan.
11·2 months agoThey still have it but it is not as common as it once was. Pizza Hut has a book it nonprofit they funnel money into.

I married her. That’s pretty crazy to dedicate your entire life to one person. But I knew I found my soulmate for life. Been married for over 20 years now.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Even if we found a feasible way through physics to travel through time, wouldn't it still be impossible due to the evolution of bacteria and our immune systems?
27·3 months agoNobody thinks about that but yes it would. You are not immune to the black plague so you might get that even if you are vaccinated. Plus who knows how many viruses and diseases happened back then.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is your favorite WrestleMania of all time?
3·3 months agoStone cold vs the rock. In the middle of the attitude era.
That’s a Geo Tracker and it was close to 40 mpg as you were going to get in the late 90s. That and the geo metro.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you think there's too much emphasis in popular media on working your ass off?
1·3 months agoYes. And people just eat it up. I get it. I got caught up in the “hustle and grind” of life. I tried multiple income sources and I was proudly working 80 hours/week while missing my children grow up. But a life altering event caused me to pause and reassess my life. I started working less and spending more time with my family. I worked on myself from being low tempered to be more “go with the flow”

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you encountered anyone who uses ai, but claims not to?
3·4 months agoWe have this guy at work whose only job is to make everything more AI-friendly.
He has claimed AI makes work easier. He demonstrated how he could make a PowerPoint in 5 minutes while it may take a human a day.
He’s annoying and nobody likes him.
My kids call me old fashion because I listen to 90s - mid 2000s music exclusively.
My kids listen to newer music (I don’t know the bands) but I show them the impact of 90s and 2000s music had on the industry.
