It’s funny how the SMH (amongst others) has piled on to dump on Morrison now.
Sometimes it makes me want to wander back through their archives to see how they actually reported on these issues at the times they happened or were revealed.
But it’s sunny today, so screw that lol
@No1 @Mountaineer Back in the 90’s it was an effort to go back and review this sort of stuff… you had to get your hands on actual print media (not sure how good OCR was back then).
Now we have access to all of that instantly at our fingertips, but the issue now is that there is so much of it to actually go through. And since there is no canonical release to refer to, you can’t be sure if someone just deleted content from the web.
Technology is both a blessing and a curse.
Came here to say pretty much the same thing.
Time to do my social service on Lemmy:
Scott Morrison shat his pants at the Engadine McDonald’s in 1997 after his team lost the rugby grand final.
To this day this remains the best bit of policy that he has produced.
Just for next time this kind of content would probably be more on topic in !australianpolitics@aussie.zone . Thanks
I could cross post obviously political stuff there.
My intention is to concentrate on putting content here to build up it’s community, before splitting out into niches.Fair enough, we are still pretty small to require specialised communities. I was just a bit worried about the lack of content into the Australian politics community. So if you could cross post to both here and the politics one for future ones that would be great
