Looks like maybe fine metallic powder mixed in… assuming not good
Get rid of said car! Engine is going out!
That’s the trade-in indicator
Add some heavier weight oil and trade it in ASAP
Why heavier weight oil?
not as leaky
I don’t think he ever said he had a leak though? Did I miss that?
I said that because a bearing(s) are on their way out. The heavyweight oil will quiet it down and provide a thicker oil film so they can trade it in.
That makes much more sense to me. Thank you.
Looks like a greasy stool sample
It’s the miso soup add-on package. Serves party of 10.
Its called zombies, wants brains
A brain
Schmootz
Send a sample to Blackstone Labs
Looks like a puddle of mud, time for an upgrade.
Stick a magnet in there and see if it is metal particles…
I have some questions:
- What type of engine? Make/model
- Km since last oil change?
- What kind of oil?
It could be engine additive drop out OR as people are suggesting, engine wear OR it could be a water emulsion which is also not too bad as the oil did its job.
Test to see if it follows a magnet. If so then you have a reasonable indicator that it is engine wear.
That’s a new species. You should contact the department of wildlife and have it registered.
Those are Turing patterns induced by a reaction-diffusion system of two previously homogenous liquids becoming destabilized.
Basically, you had a non oil substance mixed in with your oil for a long time and now it’s separating. My guess is water.
Hmm that’s interesting, I noticed similar patterns in oil once before when I needed a head gasket, this engine consumed water and was under water for short period or time, however this is the second oil change since then and only after about 200 kms I noticed this, seems like a lot of water still in engine, coolant level stable
