This is the 2nd time I’ve got it smogged first time said it’s tuned. Took to ford dealer they did there diagnostic and showed no tune. Even tried flashing back to stock but didn’t fully load through.

OK So I assume you have not tried an actual smog test yet.

As of now you would fail for not having the AIR monitor Complete. But to me that is the least of your problems.

All the unsupported monitors is what will prevent you from passing in CA.

Since 96 every car has had at least Comprehensive, Misfire and Fuel Monitor to complete. In fact those are so common to be complete every time on every car that the SMOG machines does not even count those. But what it does count is all the other monitors you should have complete. Catalytic converter is one you would have and EVAP is another and Oxygen sensor. I would have to look up your particular car to see what other systems you have on there but those 3 for sure. And that yours show “Unsupported” is a dead giveaway a tune has “Tuned out” those systems. So you will never pass a CA SMOG because they do what is called a “DATA Check” A few years ago this would have resulted in whats called a “Data Check Fail” on your smog test. But now they are all just included under the umbrella of “Modified Software” fail.

For many years CA smog machines would just take the word of the cars computer that if they reported 7 monitors ready then that is all the monitors that were on there. That made it easy for Emulators to do illegal smogs so they started collecting data on every car model. So if a particular model had 6 monitors from the factory those 6 better be reporting as either Ready or Incomplete. Any one that reported Unsupported would be a data check fail. And conversely if a car was suppose to only have 6 monitors and it reported 8 ready then they knew that was an emulator hooked up and would also get a Data Check Fail.

So you could try to get your secondary Air monitor to complete if you want. Do you know if your AIR system is still even on your car? Usually that is the first thing the racers remove. Do yo even have the factory exhaust manifolds on there? Or you got some headers?

a quick look at that list shows your fuel trims WERE AT at 32%

that is usually enough to fail the smog… anything over 19.9% sets a code…

do you have a scan tool or obd2 dongle to check the live data and graph the oxygen sensor voltages…

if yes… look at O2B1S1 and O2B2S1 voltages… take the rpm to 2500 and hold it steady. don’t move the pedal up or down… what do the waveforms look like… nice and clean…

then slowly over 10 or 15 seconds return to idle… do the waveforms also look nice…

if they do then look at the down stream sensors… O2B1S2 and O2B2S2 voltages… do this at 2500 again… do you see a voltage between 0.6 and 0.7 or a reduced waveform indicating the cats are reducing emissions…

    sending you a link… check Private messages…

Can you post a picture of your under hood emissions label? Cant seem to find one for a Billett

Just noticed your SMOG report said “Air Injection” “Not Applicable” like maybe those years did not even have AIR injection?
