Hello, Could you please advise how seriously I should take the advisory suggestions highlighted by the orange dots (front lower arms) for my audi q5. The other advisories were completed. I’m at the used end of the spectrum (2013 model 2.0 diesel S-line automatic, 125k miles) but car has been well looked after to date and serviced at advised intervals. I’m approaching the works costing a fair proportion of what the actual car is worth (£6000 on Webuyanycar) (the costings are in GBP £ from main dealer to carry out the work and will get quotes from an independent specialist). Realise I’m supplying no photos of the parts in question.
Main question:
- Do you think I need to act on the advisories highlighted in orange?
- Do you have a suggestion of how much you think it should cost an independent garage to replace front lower arms and front lower control arms (as shown in photo) in british pounds?.
Thanks in advance.
To add try to find an indie shop that specialized in Audi products. But it is entire possible these parts are worn on a 2013 vehicle.
Not a mechanic. Get a 2nd opinion. With a car 10 years old, it is entirely possible your suspension components are showing signs of wear.
