All U-HAUL trucks (excluding pickup trucks and cargo vans) will have the hand crank window openers.

On the 2023 Land Cruiser 70 series they all have them and no other options. Oh and it has one cup holder… still one of the best off-road trucks ever made though.

I had cranks on my ‘16 Wrangler when I had it. It was the only config I found that was a 2 door soft top with a manual. Doors were off most of the time anyway

Back in ‘06 my pops was looking for a Tacoma on a sitck with roll up windows. He had a F150 back in the day(that thing was awesome) the windows gave and he paid an arm and a leg to repair. Got ao fed up with the cost that he ended up having to order his 07’ manual trans. with roll up windows. He passed away and we kept it in the fam. I walked in to my local Toyota dealer( same one my dad got the taco from) they don’t place orders anymore. Apparently, people have to place a down payment just to get a car now. Lol. They lost a sale. Bummer.

I have them in my jeep. I guess the only good thing about them is if I end up in the water, I can still crank my windows down manually. The water shorts out any electrical, so unless you break the window - you’re toast… plus I can remove my doors, and connecting and reconnecting electric window wiring is one less thing I have to worry about!

    Exceedingly rare in the US

Interestingly, weight/mass targets to meet CAFE/fuel-efficiency regs are killing them.

Power windows are lighter than manually cranked windows. So carmakers increasingly favor meeting regs vs lowering the MSRP

It’s still a thing in India. Base models for cars under 8 lakhs (9.6K USD) have them for the rear windows (and sometimes the front ones too). Nearly every commercial vehicle has them as well.
