Paradox Interactive have announced today that the console release of Cities: Skylines 2 will be pushed from October 24th to a more vague Spring 2024 release window.

The developer said in a post on Twitter that the delay is “to provide the best experience for our players.”

The delay will give people more time to play the other big October release on PlayStation 5.

I am of course talking about Just Dance 2024 on October 23rd.

    I don’t mind waiting if it means they get it right. Watching some of the streamers play it, it still seems a way off. Stuff like no bike facilities? No ability to read topography? I bet they got way more notes from their testers than they anticipated. I really hope they nail it.

      Lmao there’s no way they’re remaking the entire game in a new engine in that amount of time. If anything, (but still very unlikely) they could roll the game back to a previous version of unity that’s not covered by the new pricing agreement, but most likely the game just needs a little more time for polish and bug fixing.
