edit: Emphasis on “but do nothing”. I suggest civil disobedience.

The picture of people “doing nothing in real life” is of protesters who are out doing something in real life.

Some people are of the mind that anything less than firebombing an oil refinery is not taking action. We need both people firebombing oil infrastructure, AND people protesting in the streets

No, they’re just standing around in a street and holding signs. Utterly impotent. So impotent that the people they object to co-opted their name and message and use it for corporate fundraising.

People on social media get banned for suggesting to do anything more than this.

Yes, the meme does not literally have a picture of a group of people at their computers. The picture is metaphorical.

The top image is of the Occupy Wallstreet protests. Rich fucks on the balcony were there drinking champaign, taking pictures, and laughing.

Because they were at a wedding. People drink champagne at weddings.

I totally get where you’re trying to come from but that pic ain’t it. At least understand the context first otherwise people won’t take you seriously.

Boy howdy do i love all of these memes telling us how rich people aren’t scared of folks complaining on the internet. The internet and its abilty to unite the Working Class quite literally has Billionaires quaking in their boots which is why Capitalism is so quickly evolving into out right fascism today. These memes complaining about people complaining might as well be made by Elon Musk or a Landlord, cause they are so clearly trying to act like they arent bothered, all while the rising tide of class consciousness is threatening the status quo that allows them to rob the everyman, in order to aquire vast ammounts of wealth that most of us cant even comprehend. Memes are the new pamphlets and this era of Capitalism is going to end.

They don’t, but they will. We’ll keep talking until something happens and the longer it takes the worse it’s gonna get. All the years that people have been “complaining” I have never seen so many mentions of guillotines as I have this year. Either the politicians start working for the people or rich folk stop ruining everything. Otherwise we are all going to have a big problem on our hands.

It’s not really a big problem, there’s a very small minority of rich people. We can sort out the problem in less than a week.

Because their private security force (the police) protect them. The pressure on the police over the past few years hasn’t caused a shortage in cops, but that’s because signing bonuses and pay have gone up. Which would be great, except they’re paid for by our taxes, and the rich and powerful keep raising the police budgets despite loud calls from the masses to reduce them. And you can tell that this would be helpful to us because the corporate-owned media outlets quickly and strongly shit all over the “defund the police” movement as being something that would ruin the country.

I’ve heard general strike talk in real life a few times this year. That’s never happened in my experience as an adult

    When stuff starts happening:

"Whoah, where is all this coming from? Let’s sit down at the table and discuss.

Hey hey, wait, wait! We’re willing to compromise now! Wait!"

They most certainly do care. They’ve been trying to solve this problem since before occupy. The playbook back then was to plant people to give everyone second hand embarrassment and discredit movements, and it largely hasn’t changed. Billionaires spend a lot of time thinking about the guillotine.

Why would they? If they don’t have to follow law or listen to the government, why would they listen to the masses?

well they care enough to design things such that the best we can realistically do is complain online
