My toddler is 2 and a half. On the way to daycare this morning, she is trying to tell me something. It goes a little something like this: “Mommy, mommy, mommy” “Yes, dear?” “I want to say hi to the baby.” I asked, “what baby?” She says, “That baby.” I check the rear view mirror to see where she is looking. She is just looking back at me in the mirror. I kind of just let it go and keep driving. A moment later She says it again. “Mommy, I wana say hi to the baby.” “What baby?” “That baby.” I asked her to point to the baby. She points to the ceiling. I say nothing. She tells me again, “mommy, I want to say hi to the baby.” I ask her, “what baby, honey? It’s just you and mommy in the car.” “That baby.” So I ask her, “is it a boy baby or a girl baby?” In the sweetest little voice she whispers “girl baby.” I tell her to go ahead and say hi if she wants to. “Hi baby” she says, in a sweet little sing-song voice. And then she stopped talking about it. There are no baby dolls in the car. She is the only child I have ever conceived. Now it’s got me wondering if maybe I could be pregnant…. lol What do yall think? Random? Or something else to it?
