Out of the blue I wanted to play League Bowling on NeoGeo again.
Went to the Belgium PSN shop but to my consternation the game is no longer available.
So a quick hop over to play Asia and logged in with my Japanese account and we’re ready to go. 😊

Ended up booting my PS3 to spend the rest of my credits on Japanese PSone games.
Had a ton of fun tonight playing these.Top to bottom these are:
Advanced V.G.2
Power Instinct 2
Touge Max 2
Slap happy Rhythm Busters
Rival Schools: United by Fate
Puyo Puyo Sun@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games This is why I believe all games should be given a physical release too, it’s hard to preserve things we can’t acquire anymore.
@BigBlue@geekdom.social that’s why I’m so happy that Hamster is finally doing at least two NeoGeo compilations in Switch.

Too bad this game doesn’t have a platinum trophy. 😅
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games :cat_cheer: Maybe I should setup a Japanese PSN account? 🤔 I bought quite a few games on the NA PSN (with gift cards from PlayAsia) - many classic games for less than 10$ that are otherwise unavailable in the EU.

Yeah, there are quite a few arcade archive and NeoGeo games that are still available in Japan but have been delisted in the west. And if you’re planing on buying PSone games on PS3, then having a Japanese account is a must have.
Although we’ve lost quite a few of them over the years due to licenses expiring. But there are still hundreds for sale right now.
And some really great PC Engine games as well.
