Demos will also appear across Steam in various places, acting as if they’re a free game. So you can expect to see them in charts like New & Trending and across all the tags

    That sounds incredibly obnoxious.

        That would be good.

I’m not complaining about them improving the platform or trying to make developers more willing to do demos. But I also don’t want demo spam clogging up my browsing in addition to all the free to play trash.

Sweet! I like the idea of allowing for demos to have their own page instead of being part of the full/finished game page. Not sure if demos should have reviews. That seems kinda beside the point.

I just want DLC to be shoved into their own container so I can never look at them cluttering the store.

Oooh. Personally, I don’t mind that, but now that you mention it, yes, there totally ought to be search/queue options to let us hide demos.

It’s just annoying when looking for a game, and getting pages of recommendations for the sims 4 dlc when I don’t even own the sims.

Advertising the post sales stuff prior to even buying the game isn’t very bright.

If it’s an “early release” demo or something, like some games do with a limited time, partial access, demo? It should have its own reviews. When the game is fully released, I feel split. On the one hand, you’d be giving feedback for a small part of the game, but on the other you wouldn’t be seeing reviews about content not contained in the demo.

I mean if it makes demos easier to find, then I’m all for it.

I’m always down to try a game for free. I feel like I took that shit for granted when I was a kid.

Hopefully it also means they are more likely to stay up. During one of the next feats I downloaded a few demos to try later, but as soon as the fest ended I need to purchase to play some of them. I guess as the demo was just the main game, but set as a demo.

I hate that shit. The Paleo Pines demo is the first twelve days, which is about 3-6 hours of gameplay. You can save your game in the demo, and it’ll carry over to the full game.
